Cube Sudoku takes the traditional Sudoku puzzle and brings it into the third dimension with Policubes. Players use cubes labeled with numbers or colors to fill a grid, ensuring that no row, column, or block contains the same number or color twice. The goal is to complete the grid correctly based on Sudoku rules.

Basic Rules:

  1. Setup: Create a 6x6 grid on a flat surface using Policubes. Some cubes will already be placed to start the puzzle.
  2. Filling the Grid: Players take turns placing cubes in empty spaces, following the rule that no number or color can be repeated in any row, column, or 2x3 block.
  3. Solving the Puzzle: The game continues until the grid is completely filled. If the puzzle is solved correctly, the players win the game.
  4. Variations: Increase the difficulty by using larger grids (e.g., 9x9) or by limiting the number of starting cubes. For beginners, use smaller grids and simpler patterns.

Customization:

Create custom puzzles with varying difficulty levels, or challenge players to solve puzzles within a time limit. Offer hints or “lifelines” for newer players to help them along the way.
